Prepping for the real world

National Apprenticeship Week 2025 is here, and at 14forty, we’re celebrating the fresh talent that drives our business forward. This year’s theme, ‘Skills for Life’, highlights the power of apprenticeships as they kickstart futures, spark growth and keep businesses thriving for the long haul.

Whether you're fresh out of school, at the beginning of your career or established and looking for opportunities to pivot or develop your skills, we offer apprenticeships for all stages of the career journey.

All about getting stuck in

Apprenticeships are about getting stuck in from day one. As Amrit Saggu, our People Business Partner, puts it:

"Apprenticeships at 14forty give people real-world experience in facilities management, security, hospitality and food service. They learn by doing - and make an impact straight away."

And hard work and dedication pay off - just ask Doinita Arnautu, our Regional Manager on the Capita contract. After completing her apprenticeship, Doinita climbed her way to the top, earning a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration along the way.

"Juggling a full-time job and an apprenticeship wasn’t easy, but the leadership skills I’ve gained have been game-changing. I’m already putting them to work, driving innovation at 14forty."

Why apprenticeships matter at 14forty

At 14forty, apprenticeships are more than a ‘nice to have’. Here’s why we invest in them:

Hands-on learning: Skip the theory - our apprentices dive into practical experience from day one.

Future leaders in the making: We’re not just training employees; we’re growing tomorrow’s leaders.

Long-term career growth: With top-tier training and mentorship, our apprentices thrive - and stay with us.

Business-boosting skills: Apprenticeships help us nurture the right talent in-house, keeping us sharp and competitive.

Championing diversity: We welcome apprentices from all walks of life, making our teams stronger and more connected.

MBA mastery: Bally Purewal

Apprenticeships build more than just skills - they build futures. And we’ve got the success stories to prove it.

Bally Purewal, 14forty Account Director, managed to balance his busy full-time role while working on his Level 7 Senior Leader Executive MBA.

He describes the experience as a ‘transformative journey’ and plans to use what he's learned to really shape his role going forward:

"This programme sharpened my skills in leadership, strategy and decision-making. Now, I’m using those insights to drive innovation and create real business impact."
